One of the most famous types of Greek olives, grown mostly in the region of Peloponnesus and also in southern-western areas of Greece.
The Kalamata Olives have distinctive appearance and taste, with large sizes, oval shape, dark purple or black colour, intense flavor and fleshy texture.
Offered as whole, pitted, sliced or in halves and usually preserved in wine vinegar and olive oil.
"Kalamata," a variety grown in the regions of Western and Central Greece, as well as Peloponnese. With a deep purple coloring, the Calamata has a deeply complex fruity flavor.
Can be eaten on their own or added to other dressings, and salads.
The best quality of these olives, makes them one of the most wanted olives around the world.
